Quick start for developers

The public API, the two MCP servers and your own key.

Athaus has one API and two MCP servers facing outward, built for different readers:

Public APIAthaus für MaklerAthaus Immobiliensuche
Addresshttps://api.athaus.ai/api/public/...https://anbieter.mcp.athaus.ai/mcphttps://suche.mcp.athaus.ai/mcp
ForPrograms that read the catalogueAgents working for an officeAgents working for someone searching
Sign-innonealways: OAuth 2.1 or an ath_ keyalways: OAuth 2.1
Described inOpenAPI 3.1tools/list, and heretools/list, and here

Read the catalogue without signing in

curl "https://api.athaus.ai/api/public/properties?city=Berlin&transaction_type=rent&page_size=5"

The response is one page of results (items, total, page, page_size). GET /api/public/properties/{id} fetches a single listing. All routes, parameters and responses are in the reference. The catalogue only holds properties that providers listed on Athaus themselves.

Connect an MCP server

With Claude Code it is one line per server; sign-in then happens in the browser:

Athaus für Makler
claude mcp add --transport http athaus-makler https://anbieter.mcp.athaus.ai/mcp
Athaus Immobiliensuche
claude mcp add --transport http athaus-suche https://suche.mcp.athaus.ai/mcp

For Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and VS Code, see Installation. Which server is for whom is in the overview.

Your own agent with a key

If you work for an office without a browser, create a key in the app under Settings, API keys and send it as a bearer token. A key only works with Athaus für Makler:

claude mcp add --transport http athaus-makler https://anbieter.mcp.athaus.ai/mcp \
  --header "Authorization: Bearer ath_..."

A new key may only lesen (read). You choose what else it may do when you create it (keys, rights).

These docs for agents

  • /llms.txt is the table of contents, /llms-full.txt all German pages in one file.
  • Every page is available as Markdown: its address with .md appended, for example /en/mcp/installation.md, or with Accept: text/markdown.
  • The docs have their own MCP server at https://docs.athaus.ai/api/mcp, without sign-in, with the tools list_pages, get_page and search.
