Installation
The two Athaus MCP servers in Claude, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, ChatGPT and your own agent.
There are two servers, and you add the one that fits you, or both:
| Server | For | Address |
|---|---|---|
| Athaus für Makler | Brokers and anyone who lists on Athaus | https://anbieter.mcp.athaus.ai/mcp |
| Athaus Immobiliensuche | People looking for a flat or a house | https://suche.mcp.athaus.ai/mcp |
On the first call you sign in with your Athaus account and confirm on app.athaus.ai/verbinden what the app may do. Which server it is follows from the address; you do not pick a side there. The details are under Sign-in.
Claude (web and desktop)
One button per server. It opens the custom connector dialog in claude.ai with name and address filled in. By hand:
- In Claude open Customize > Connectors, then Add custom connector.
- Enter name and address:
Athaus für Maklerwithhttps://anbieter.mcp.athaus.ai/mcp, orAthaus Immobiliensuchewithhttps://suche.mcp.athaus.ai/mcp. - Keep the detected sign-in (OAuth), choose Add, then Connect.
- Switch it on in a chat under + > Connectors.
On Team and Enterprise an owner adds the connector under Organization settings > Connectors; each member then connects on their own. A connector added in claude.ai is also available in Claude Desktop and the mobile apps.
Claude Code
claude mcp add --transport http athaus-makler https://anbieter.mcp.athaus.ai/mcpclaude mcp add --transport http athaus-suche https://suche.mcp.athaus.ai/mcpThen run /mcp in Claude Code and finish signing in in the browser.
Cursor
The button opens Cursor with the entry for you to confirm. By hand in ~/.cursor/mcp.json (or .cursor/mcp.json in the project); if you only need one server, leave out the other entry:

"athaus-makler": {

},
"athaus-suche": {
"url": "https://suche.mcp.athaus.ai/mcp"
}
}
}VS Code
Or in .vscode/mcp.json in the project:
{

"athaus-makler": {
"type": "http",
"url": "https://anbieter.mcp.athaus.ai/mcp"
},

}ChatGPT
In ChatGPT your own MCP server is called an app, and it runs through developer mode on the web. Each of the two servers is an app of its own.
- Turn on developer mode. Depending on your version of ChatGPT the switch is under Settings > Apps > Advanced settings or under Settings > Security and login.
- Create an app (Create app or Create MCP App), authentication OAuth: name
Athaus für Maklerwith the addresshttps://anbieter.mcp.athaus.ai/mcp, orAthaus Immobiliensuchewithhttps://suche.mcp.athaus.ai/mcp. - Sign in with your Athaus account and give your consent.
- In a chat, pick the app for the conversation under + > Developer mode.
Write tools in ChatGPT
According to OpenAI, full MCP with write actions is only available on Business, Enterprise and Edu, where an admin enables developer mode. On Plus and Pro, ChatGPT can use read tools; whether a write tool such as send_inquiry runs there is not guaranteed. Free has no developer mode. ChatGPT asks before every write action.
So far ChatGPT is the only client that subscribes to MCP Events.
Your own agent
Without a browser, an agent signs in with an API key. A key only works with Athaus für Makler; the search server only takes sign-in through OAuth. Create the key under Settings, API keys and send it with every call:
Authorization: Bearer ath_...Any MCP library that speaks Streamable HTTP can do this; in Claude Code, for example:
claude mcp add --transport http athaus-makler https://anbieter.mcp.athaus.ai/mcp \
--header "Authorization: Bearer ath_..."In tools/list a key only sees the tools its rights allow. Only an OAuth connection can subscribe to MCP Events, never a key.
If you added the old address
https://api.athaus.ai/mcp answers 410 and names the two new addresses. Remove the old entry, add the matching new address and connect again.
