Calendar
When someone is coming, when someone could come, and what else is in the week.
The time belongs to you, not to a property. So viewings, the bookable band behind them and the appointments from your Google or Outlook calendar all sit on one screen. The windows exist per property too, but "what is happening on Saturday?" is not a question about a property.
The row is called Calendar and not Viewings, because the screen also shows handovers, notary appointments and phone calls. It is named after the thing it syncs with. The old address /termine redirects here.
The layout
The single primary action at the top. Below it the range row: on the left the range as a heading ("21 to 27 September"), the arrow pair and Today; on the right the view, availability, the calendar account and the property filter.
From 1024 pixels the time grid with one column per day, below that a week strip with a day list. Under 1024, seven columns are seven lines.
In the grid, from back to front:
| Layer | What it says |
|---|---|
| Ground | Where nobody can book, the column is greyer |
| Bands | The offer. Bookable is white; blocked is hatched and names the reason |
| Appointments | White cards with an ink stroke. Overlapping ones share the column |
| Blocks | Outline only: an appointment at another property that still closes the time |
| External | Quiet blocks without a stroke, because the stroke means viewing |
An appointment opens a drawer rather than a dialog, so the grid beside it stays its context.
The reasons a band is blocked sit in the band itself: Property paused, Too soon, Too far ahead, Fully booked, Another appointment, Calendar busy.
What you can do here
Schedule viewing sits at the top and on the N key. The dialog asks for the property, the time, the duration and the enquirer, and names who will get a confirmation. Below that, On this day shows what else is happening and marks what is added or overlaps.
Availability opens the weekly plan: a switch per day, start and end, duration and places. Times can be copied to Monday to Friday or Every day. There is no save button; the bottom line says Saved.
Connect calendar takes Google or Outlook. After that it says Connected with the account and the last sync.
In the grid: a click on free time creates an appointment, dragging moves it, Shift and the arrow keys nudge it. Before a move, the question Move to ...? appears with a note about who gets an email.
The appointment drawer holds Add guest, Cancel viewing, Undo booking, the ways To the enquiry and To the contact, attendance (was there or no show) and Copy booking link.
Every action that writes to people asks first
Scheduling, moving, cancelling and undoing all send emails, and those cannot be recalled. The question appears where you clicked, and it names who gets the email.
Keyboard
J and K or the arrow keys page through, T jumps to today, W and D switch between week and day, N schedules an appointment, +, − and 0 change the hour height. A button that currently has focus does not block the letters: whoever clicked "next week" has focus on it, and J afterwards still has to page.
What the agent does here
It schedules appointments and looks them up. No yes waits here; appointment suggestions appear in the work column on Start, and the Viewings tab there shows the week compactly.
Matching external appointments to a contact and a property is done by the sync itself, where it is unambiguous. What you set or release by hand here, it does not touch again.
Worth knowing
Availability belongs to the account, not to the property. "Monday to Friday, 9 to 17" is your time. Exceptions are not a list: the connected calendar is the exception list. Twelve hours beforehand is the cut-off, nothing goes out further than eight weeks.
If every day is off, availability drops away entirely. No empty plan that promises appointments.
The property filter does not apply to external appointments, because they belong to your time and not to a property. Appointments at other properties stay visible as blocks, otherwise the filter would hide exactly the block it needs to explain.
Moving is optimistic: the card jumps immediately. If it fails, it jumps quietly back and a line says so, because otherwise nobody would know the guests received no email.
A private appointment from your calendar shows only its time: "Marked private in your calendar. Athaus reads the time only."
